TERMS & CONDITIONS
Bayview Christian Fellowship – Full Gospel Church of God

1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern participation in the fellowship, services, activities, and membership of Bayview Christian Fellowship (“the Church”).
By applying for membership, attending services, participating in church activities, or using church-administered systems, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
2. Membership Categories
Membership is structured in accordance with Article 4 of the Church Constitution and includes:
2.1 Adherents
Persons attending services who do not qualify for Associate or Full Membership.
2.2 Associate Members
Children or adolescents of ministers or members who are closely linked to the Church through dedication, Sunday School, or youth activities.
2.3 Full Members
Persons accepted into membership by the Church Council after fulfilling the constitutional requirements.
3. Admission into Membership
Membership shall only be granted upon:
- Submission of the prescribed membership application form
- Fulfilment of FGC constitutional conditions
The Church reserves the right to approve or decline any application.
4. Membership Responsibilities
Members agree to:
- Uphold the doctrines, objectives, and regulations of the Church
- Conduct themselves in a manner consistent with Christian principles
- Support the Church spiritually and morally
- Submit to the governance structure as provided in the Constitution
Failure to adhere to these responsibilities may result in a review of membership status.
5. Use of Church Facilities and Services
The Church may provide:
- Worship services
- Ministry programmes
- Youth and children’s activities
- Counselling or pastoral care
- Church events
Participation is voluntary and subject to behavioural standards and safety requirements.
The Church reserves the right to restrict participation where necessary to protect the safety and integrity of its members.
6. Code of Conduct
All persons attending Church services or activities agree to:
- Maintain respectful behaviour
- Refrain from disruptive, abusive, or unlawful conduct
- Respect church leadership and volunteers
- Comply with safety and child protection policies
The Church reserves the right to remove individuals engaging in misconduct.
7. Data Protection and Privacy
The Church processes personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
By submitting personal information, you acknowledge that:
- Your information will be used for membership administration and church-related purposes
- The Church may record baptism, membership, and governance details
- Communication preferences will be respected
- You may request access or correction of your personal information

8. Communications
By providing contact details, you agree that the Church may contact you for:
- Service announcements
- Church events
- Membership administration
- Ministry-related matters
You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time.
9. Financial Contributions
Any donations or offerings:
- Are voluntary
- Do not guarantee membership or grant any special privileges
- May be recorded for administrative purposes
The Church complies with applicable financial regulations.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Participation in church activities is voluntary
- The Church shall not be liable for loss, injury, or damage except where caused by gross negligence or unlawful conduct
Members participate at their own discretion and responsibility.
11. Disciplinary and Membership Review
Membership may be reviewed, suspended, or terminated in accordance with:
- The Church Constitution
- Governing Body decisions
- Established disciplinary procedures
The Church reserves the right to take action to preserve doctrinal integrity and unity.
12. Amendments
These Terms and Conditions may be amended from time to time in accordance with constitutional procedures.
Updated versions will be made available to members upon request.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
